New Mexico

So yeah...

I just spent the past weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I went there with my family because my parents are looking for a place to retire that's outside of CaliBROnia where the cost of living is lower. Most, if not ALL, of my contacts and family live right here in Northern California... at least the ones I spend any time with.
My parents have been talking the whole lot of us to move with them when they go, since my mother is the matriarch of this entire extended family. I personally, don't like the idea of leaving Northern California, but I am considering the idea of going with everyone else in a couple of years IF I can make a good enough case for Albuquerque. Does anyone live there or know anyone who does? Even have you been there or spent time there? What's good about that place?

tl;dr - What's cool about Albuquerque, New Mexico that's worth moving for?
